How to chang dtd in dcr ouput

We'd like to change the dtd that is written to the xml in the dcr, but I cannot figure out where to change it. Can anyone pass along that info please?

Can you provide a bit more context for what you are trying to do / why you're trying to do it?

Hi,

We wanted to change the dtd to a more current version 6 and also when we do xalan processing from the command line the translation looks for the dtd in the same folder as the dcr. It errors out if it does not find the dtd in the same dir so we wanted to point it to a shared location instead of copying the dtd to a ton of folders.

I don't believe the DCRs have a more recent DTD - the DCTs do - and you utilize the newer DCT DTD if you use "xml" style DCTs, you use the older DCT DTD if you use "iwov" style DCTs - you cannot mix-and-match.

With respect to the location of the DTD - you can copy it into the data dir, or into the appropriate location for iwwebd and/or iwjboss to access it, or do some sort of pre-processing that strips out the DTD reference line before passing the content to xalan.

It has limitation when you are using standalone/external xalan processor
1.Either you should go by some script to place(copy) dtd file in XML location before running xalan command, once you ran the xalan command remove dtd from that location.
2. Or Write some script to strip dtd declaration in the existing DCR's before to run command
3. Or use temp xml which has created using xsl and original DCR without DTD(difference is DTD declaration)
for example, xsl for XML with DTD to XML without DTD
