Error while connecting to Oracle database

Hi,

I am trying to connect Oracle database from my Perl script but getting the following error.

DBI connect('sid=xx;host=xx.xx.xx.com;port=1521','user_name',...) failed: ORA-12535: TNS Smiley Surprised

peration timed out (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach) at LMS_update.ipl line 76

anybody have any idea about this error?

my TeamSite version 6.5 SP3

TNS operation timed out is pretty self explanatory. You are configured to use the local Oracle client and it keeps a list of DBs available in the TNS. Get your DBA involve to help, they can set it up quickly
