Metatagger-Plumtree combination

Hello Experts,
This question is for interwoven support people and some other experts who used in this(Metatagger-Plumtree) combination:

Our basic infrastructure will consist of

1. One Development Teamsite server
2. One Production Teamsite server (maybe load-balanced later on, depending on volume)
3. A minimum of one MetaTagger server, separate from the Teamsite server.

Based on the above, I am wanting a better picture of our options for how MetaTagger will "talk" to Plumtree. Specific questions I have:

Will MetaTagger "feed" the Plumtree cards? If so, how? Are there multiple ways to do this? Plumtree can also "crawl" a site. Will content be loaded into Plumtree via these crawls and via a "push" by MetaTagger?
How will sites which are not in Teamsite be "indexed" by MetaTagger?
How will the exising Plumtree search engine integrate with the new MetaTags?
What are the technical requirements for MetaTagger and Plumtree to be able to talk to one another?

There are more questions which escape me at the moment, but which I will come up with as we work through this. Also, there used to be a white paper on the Interwoven community detailing some of the above, which Jennifer had posted, that I can no longer find.

Sorry it took a while for me to get back to you. This is what I learned from a few people:

Using MT to populate PlumTree cards was not successful in test about a year ago. The reason being that the PlumTree cards were very limited as to what we were allowed to configure. The plan was to sync them by tagging with a MetaTagger UID number that would correspond to some type of key on the PlumTree side. However, the PlumTree fields were fixed: Title, Description, and one other one. At that time, a PlumTree consultant indicated these may be made more configurable and extensible in the future.

How will sites which are not in Teamsite be "indexed" by MetaTagger?
MetaTagger can generate an XML record of subject metadata for any subject metadata that is suggested by the MT server, provided that the filetype is supported or accounted for in metatagger.cfg

How will the existing Plumtree search engine integrate with the new MetaTags?
If the PT search engine index is generated through a crawl, then the primary objectives would be to Deploy TeamSite EA's to the index (similar to the Inktomi Collection model) to bypass the crawl. Similar could be done by parsing the non-TeamSite metadata records and sending them. Failing that, find out what PlumTree is looking for when it crawls and populate that metadata.
