IManDocumentHistory - how can I interpret the imHistEvent?

I want to be able to iterate over the items in a Document's HistoryList and be able to determine the imHistEvent for each - and in particular be able to identify any imHistoryDelete events.

I can see the DOCHISTORY table has an ACTIVITY_CODE column which appears to correspond to the enumeration for imHistEvent in the COM API but the activity code does not appear to be exposed in the COM API - just an Activity which is the string value from the ACTIVITY column which in turn has no direct relation to the imHistEvent enumeration.
