Indexing/Searching to exclude editions

Hi,

We have a branch that has a lot of editions created, and indexing/searching is also enabled on this branch. The problem is when we search for something, it searches the editions as well which usually we don't want to see in search results. Is there a way to not index/search editions?

Have you tried the different options in the Search interface?
E.g.: the drop-down that is labeled "Return Files From:"
Or perhaps it may have something to do with the version of TeamSite you're using (which you didn't mention)? I believe there was recently a report about a bug with something like what you're talking about - but I don't recall the version affected (I'm using 7.2.1 / 7.2.1 P1 on Linux - and not noticing that issue)
