webserver access of .js file in workflow custom_instantiation.cfg

Hi ALL,

I am trying to access .js file from webserver in the workflow custom_instantiation.cfg file, the way we do it for Form Publisher (DCT) as shown below.

[HTML]
<script language="javascript" src="/iw/workflowsCommonUtils.js" location="webserver"/>
[/HTML]

Looks like this is not supported for IPM, the only way we can have .js for IPM is via inline JS code.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I've done this before - in 7.3.1 (and I believe 7.2.1) with directives like:[indent]

[/indent]I realize the 'type' and 'language' attributes appear redundant, and perhaps are - but I'm looking at some code I did on a different project and that's what I had there ... and it worked just fine.

Perhaps you just need to get rid of the 'location' attribute?

I use that exact syntax without any problems whatever. You'll have to investigate. Short of outright
JS syntax Errors (you hopefully do not have those) I would check the following if I were you:

- have you placed script Tag correctly within cfg File?
- have you placed JS Library correctly? It should be directly within "iw-home/httpd/iw"
- Does "/iw" map correctly? (that may imply some install problems).
   To check, you can simply try http://YourServer/iw/workflowsCommonUtils.js as URL,
   if "/iw" maps correctly you should be able to read your JS.
- Finally, just in case remove all //-style comments if you have any in your JS File.
   Use only /*...*/ Syntax for comments.

But, I was placing it as below after inline script,
