MB 8.1 - File upload Applet

Hi,

In some of our users systems, Add Folder is being displayed in disable mode and also instead of applet window default windows browse window is being displayed when add file button is clicked.

i believe it's due to applet is not running on user's machine may be java is not installed or some other reason.

Do we need to inform users to install JRE? or can it be automatically propmt the user to install JRE/Java?

IE8 is the browser version.

If Java is not installed and enabled in the browser, and the version is not the latest, it may not execute which results in the native file picker to be displayed when Add File is chosen. Adding folders is not possible without Java in that version of MediaBin.

Hi Todd,

Issue is happening when we upgrade java.

it happened for user who upgrade from 6 to 7 and for another user it happened when he upgraded java from 7 to 8.

Please suggest a fix.
