Developer version of TeamSite?

Hi Guys,

Does Autonomy have a developer version of TeamSite for developers to install and test?

My company would like to develop some modules that interface our software to pass data to clients who run TeamSite on their websites.

What would be the best way to do this?

AFAIK there is no "TemSite Light" if that's what you mean.

Developer licenses used to exist and perhaps still do, they are not free though.
You'd have to talk to your Client and perhaps it's HP/Autonomy Representative.

With the way that TeamSite works, there really should be a developer version since you have to take down the UI when you run make_toolkit.ipl or build.bat. Although there is a light version called Control Hub, but I don't think they have that anymore?

Maybe something like OpenDeploy's Easy Deploy with limited functionality?

You need to talk to a Sales Rep - preferably one with whom you (or your company) has done a reasonable amount of business with. Then you can arrange to purchase (yes, purchase) developer's licenses for the software ($N-thousand) and then be prepared to pay 10% of that every year for maintenance and support.

At least that's what I had to do - if you find out that they're giving it away now, please let me know ...

For consultants, the better approach is to become a partner, which is about 5K per year. You get support access and the ability to generate licenses for all products (90 licenses IIRC). That should be less than the complete purchase and maintenance.
