amend a .page file with a script

Hi,

We need to amend a set of .page files. The change is simply to add ".xml" on to the end of datum dcr file values. I'm worried about the file associations not being picked up / broken. Is it possible that we can script a .page save event which will update associations?

we are on 7.3.1 for our sins

Have done similar before. When you submit the changes the associations should get picked up. Just be careful. I broke several hundred pages the first time I tried it.

Not to offend anyone here, but in my recent experience with I/A support confirmed that after running initial migrate_dependencies tool all new changes that we make with in workarea should automatically be reflected if changes are done through teamsite interface (cc std/pro) BUT no changes will be picked up if done by any external client/script. Although I personnaly didn't tried this.

Not my experience, but that is certainly a possibility. So he may need to run migrate dependencies again.

You could also update the dependencies yourself via script, so long as it's in Java Smiley Happy
