Running standard deployments from base to receiver over TCP 20014.

I know that reverse deployments are initiated from the base server.

Do the firewall rules for TCP 20014 need to be modified to allow the payload to come in from the receiver? it's been a decade since I've done one of these and darned if I can find anything in the documentation.

No - all connections made by OpenDeploy are out-bound from the Base server. After the connection is made, traffic along the connection goes in both directions.
