Teamsite 741 server is not coming up after a hard reboot.

Hi Team,

Teamsite 741 server was up and running before reboot. we did a hard reboot. and now its not coming up. throwing below error in logs

Anyone has any idea what went wrong after a reboot. we rebooted it after for an redhat patch update.

It looks like the permissions are changed on your iw-store level and under it. Do you have any non-prod server to compare to and verify if the permissions are different.

You may even try to start the services manually or try by rebooting the box again which may bring up Teamsite services in a cleaner manner. If nothing works, contacting support is recommended.

I do not think that your disk containing the backingstore came up correctly. Is it a local disk or a SAN ?

run df -h and post the results (find the mount for /local)

You may want to restart the server (again) and probably need to get the sys admins involved.

i tried restarting manually by below cmd

/etc/init.d/iw.server stop/ start

it throws same disk failure error in logs. it s a NAS storage. I am running this teamsite on a Redhat Linux VM.

No idea what went wrong.

here is the df -h output :

Trying restarting the entire server again, not just the TeamSite server.

What version of Red Hat are you running?

Talk to your admins, the NAS may not be mounted correctly.

It needs to be mounted with root access, I susepct it is not. A change could have been made long again and not noticed until the server reboot.

Rebooting the complete server may help but probably not if I am right

restarting of entire machine also did not help. how to check disk mount is proper or not ?

i tried creating and removing a file on /local iw-store . it worked fine.

You need to run "df -kh" without any arguments and check to see if you teamsite mount points exists, probably not because you have the disk failure error. You need to involve your Linux Admin and get the disk mounted again or check for failures.

Try to compare with another RHEL server you may have.

And what are the permissions when you try ls -lrt /local/iw-store ?

The store needs to be owned by the iwts user or iwui user.

If you are using a non-root user for TeamSite, then you need to add the TeamSite start scripts in the sudo list.

And they try staring TeamSite with sudo /etc/init.d/iw.server start.

Hi reji,

Issue is resolved now. it was a permission issue . somehow /local permission got messed up after reboot.

iw-store was under /local so teamsite was not able to access the store evenafter i gave full permissions to /iw-store and iwts was the owner. parent dir was read only so it was inaccessible.
