Use of OpenDeploy config recursive parameter

Has anyone been able to use this parameter in the OD configuration? I am using TS/ OD 7.2.1 on Windows 2008 R2

 

Please see below my OD Deployment configuration file.

 

The content,dcr, is getting creating under the templatedata and consumed by an appserver. The appserver aspect the content in a directory structure without the templatedata directory. I would like to push everything below the templatedata directory.

 

Thought I could use the  recursive feature in OpenDeploy to accomplish this.

Your sample code is configured to use a filelist. Filelist deployments only deploy those items that are identified in the file. If you wanted to use this deployment type, you'd need to write something that recursively scans the subtree and adds an entry for each file in the filelist.

 

What you probably want is an areadiff deployment, which is a completely different beast. For these, you just say compare "/templatedata" on my source server with the equivalent on the target and update anything that's different in that whole subtree. You should read up on this in the OD Deployment Guide.
