How to disable dependencies files

Hi All,

Are we able to disable the 'attached dependencies files' activity during workflow PLC process in Teamsite 7.3 ? Sometimes it relate to the files that we won't to publish yet, but it automatically published because of this 'attach dependencies files' activity and it's irritated. Is there any guide on how to disable this feature.

AFAIK, there is no such guide.
To achieve this you have to customize OOTB PLC workflow, by removing "Attach Dependency Task".
Otherwise, alternate way to escape dependency files is submit your all the files using OOTB Submit workflow (just submit).
If the files are in submitted mode then those files will not be attached as dependency.

I recently wrote a custom JSP / Java CGI implementation for a task that gets inserted after the Attach Dependencies task - which provides a list of all the locked files associated with the task and allows the user to select the ones they want detached from the job. This assumes that the files you don't want to be deployed yet are locked (regardless of by whom).

You could do something similar, looking for locked-or-modified, or each just display a complete list of all the files attached to the job and let the user select which files they want detached (or processed - depending on the logic you wish to apply).
