Full blown upgrade to 7.3

Finally going to go forth with the upgrade to 7.3. We are going from 6.7.2 TS, to an entirely new setup...with LSCS/LSDS, and IDOL.

Going to get a real DEV and QA box that will allow us to actually develop somewhere other than PROD...

We have been battling for this upgrade for almost 2 years now....

Anyone have any tips, ideas, thoughts, notions for us as we step into the 21st century?

Get an expert with solid experience in 7.x/LSDS/LSCS to help you architect and make the best out of it. You might not have a very happy ending if you implement LSDS/LSCS just for the sake of implementing them.

Correct... We are going to have a vendor come and architech, design, implement, and migrate our system. Also conduct some training on the new system with LSCS/LSDS and IDOL.

I was just looking for some "Here is what happened to us..." or "It's totally different..." type of sentiment...

Obviously there will be some similarities between the systems, but using SitePublisher will be new... Creating components will be new... utilizing rules to create personalized content will be new ...

It's pretty exciting... and I hope the system lives up to the hype.

Good luck, it is different. While there is a lot to like, there is still plenty to whine about.
