Content Migration accross different versions

Hi,

We are planning to install TS 7.2 on a new server with OD 7.2.1
But we need the content to be moved accross from our old TS6.5 SP2 server which has OD 6.2.1. Is that possible to migrate contents like dcr's, pages, etc through opendeploy when there is a version difference.

Any suugestions please

You can certainly use OD to do that, these OD versions will work with each other. If you do, make sure to
use "applyExtAttrs=yes" setting thus keeping all Extended Attributes, Metadata including. Note though that
with this approach you will lose original history, Editions, and so on.

If I were you I would seriously consider iwmigrate instead. It will migrate Files and EA/MD plus would
allow you to maintain desired historical information, all or part of it.

Read the manuals and search the Support Kbs for articles on "iwmigrate" - if you're not comfortable with that - hire someone who's done this kind of thing before (on the face of it, it's pretty simple - but the details can become a bit complex if you don't know what to look out for)
