The report service goes down unidentified.Below is the exception in tsreport.log

I haven't come across this before, but I'll take a stab at it..

The key line in your stack trace is this:

not-null property references a null or transient value: com.interwoven.tsreport.server.orm.model.impl.FileVersionsTable.fileType

So somehow, it's trying to resolve a file where at least one of its versions has an invalid file type. I don't know how that can even happen unless the vpath doesn't actually resolve to a simple file at all, or your content store is corrupted. Therefore, my suggestions are:
* Crank up the logging to debug in the WEB-INF/classes/log4j.properties for the reportcenter app and restart the app container. With any luck it should tell you the vpath it's attempting to resolve right before the exception happens.
* Run an iwfsck on your content store, just in case corruption is the issue.

I can't find those classes anywhere in my build, so which version are you running?

The gist of what I'm saying is find the app that's throwing the exception, edit it's log4j.xml or log4j.properties (within the WEB-INF folder of the deployed webapp), and set the root logging level from WARN|ERROR to DEBUG, then restart the application and look at your logs again.

TeamSite/tsreport/conf/log4j.xml is the path I was referring to.
