Receiver not acknowledging

Hi,

I am executing workflow to deploy files (Its an existing workflow, which was working fine until today), but opendeploy is giving error. Nothing is getting updated on reciever side only on base I could see the following error in the logs: Receiver didn't reply with ack, it replied: nack:6.2.0.0.0

Any pointer on this will be highly appreciable....thanks in advance.

Deployments to this receiver ever worked? Try telnet receiver:server 20014. 20014 being the default port. Yours could be different. Also check if receiver is running.

It can be no of reasons
1. Whether server is up and runnning in receiver end?
2. License is valid?
3. Is there any recent changes on infrastructure like Firewall, network change
4. Is there any recent config change in both end on ports and server?
5. Connectivity

Are you able to do telnet to receiver? or not? Got confusion on your reply.

If the answer is no for the above question, Check your configuration port and firewall settings
Share your OD logs and odnodes entry from both end(base and receiver)

You say you can telnet to the receiver - do you mean just a simple:

telnet hostname

telnet hostname deployment-port

As previously mentioned, the latter is how you can verify that the receiver is listening on the expected port (which should be the port specified in the Base Server's

odnodes.xml

file for that particular receiver).
Also - make sure that if you are using the hostname in the odnodes.xml that you can get to the correct server using hostname for telnet. If you are using ip-address in the odnodes.xml, make sure you telnet with ip-address to test it. (I've seen cases where someone changed the DNS servers and the hostname no longer correctly resolved into the correct ip-address from the Base Server.

Also note, when telnet'ing to the receiver (with the port number specified - default being 20014) - you are only looking to make sure you do not get an error. You will not get an actual prompt when you connect, so a successful test ends with you escaping out of telnet.
