We are using TeamSite 7.3.2 and MediaBin 8.0.3. Both are installed on Windows 2008 server.
Have completed installation of MediaBinUI component and have configure MediaBin connector with "Login as the TeamSite user" options. This is option should work with Active Directory, as TeamSite and MediaBin servers are on same domain. Please, confirm if this option is aviable only for LDAP users.
We are getting error while clicking on "Import" from MediaBin option into TeamSite CCProfessional.
"An error occurred while attempting to connect to Rich Media. Please contact your system administrator"
TeamSite Server "RichMedia.log"
Error com.interwoven.ui.richmedia.auth.VMBAuthenticationService () - The user logon failed. The user name or password may be invalid for the specified domain.
MediaBin server showing following event:
Logon Failed - "Security initiation failed"
What is the version of MediaBin? Is RichMediaUI installed on TeamSite?
If MediaBin version is 4.6.x & below and RichMediaUI is not installed, you have to change the ECMConnector.jar to get the compatibility with TS 7.3.2. A technote is available on how to do this. The required files can get from Support.
If MediaBin version is 7.x and higher and RichMediaUI is installed on TeamSite, the integration works through a new generation webservice (VirageMediaBinServer.asmx). This WebService URL needs to be mentioned in
<iw-home>\MediaBinUI\Settings.Properties.
This URL just enables the communication to MediaBin. The MediaBin user details need to be specified in MediaBin Connector settings under TS Administration.
Also, TS license should have RichMedia enabled.
Please ignore my previous comment and check if the MediaBin user details specified in MediaBin Connector settings under TS Administration. Also, TS license should have RichMedia enabled.
Login as TeamSite user option works only when MediaBin is configured with LDAP as the same userbase of TeamSite.
Also, trustedclient hint should be set in MediaBin Connector settings and in MB WebServices config file to impersonate the TS User to MediaBin for authentication.
So "Login as TeamSite user" options will not work if user has been setup into Active Directory.
This should work with Active Directory, both server are into same domain and have same user base.
Yes, it works with AD users when the same AD is configured as LDAP in MEM. And folder permissions needs to be assigned for LDAP based logins. Because the TS UserName will be impersonated as LDAP\UserName to MediaBin for user authentication on MB Server.
The permissions on MB Folders will be treated differently for same user when logging in with Domain\UserName and LDAP\UserName.
Do we have nay Utility for configuring LDAP after MediaBin setup? Or we need to modify any configue file.
LDAP settings can be configured in MediaBin Enterprise Manager.
It's not visible. LDAP option required any special license?
"Virage MediaBin Asset Server Administrator’s Guide" document was mentioning same, not fully sure.
