I am trying to change the Template Preview settings, after i select the option from the drop down and click on save it's showing the previous value.
But for t other templates i am able to save the chages.

Sounds like a Javascript bug. Open the dev console for whatever browser you're using and reproduce, then post the error if you need help with it.
