The Interwoven OpenDeploy 732 Service service terminated unexpectedly.

OD732, TS732, Win2k8-64b, 24GB, 6 proccessors @3GHz, fresh install.

Our od-service (base-server) is crashing repeatedly on receiving a 'normal' deployment into the Y:-drive (with applyExtAttrs enabled).

Nothing in the logs, event-viewer says: 'The Interwoven OpenDeploy 732 Service service terminated unexpectedly.' and nothing more.

The virusscanner *might* be checking the Y:-drive, i need to check this with the operators.

Anyone seen this before?
Can one still increase the 'heap-size' etc. on this version of od? If so, how?

BTW: od-sender is of version 620.

I further found out that the problem must be related to the ea's. If I switch off the ea-transfer it works like a breeze.

Ok, I suspect on the OD base, do you have a base server with verison 7.x to give a try with your EA flag on?

If they had a 7.x version of OD running on the sender, I kind of think they'd be using that instead of the 6.x version - no?

You might need a patch from Support - I know there were some issues with the uprev deployments from 6.x to 7.x (not sure of the value of 'x') for which a patch was needed on the lower-end (6.x) side, and I'm not sure the patch ever actually made it to the download site.

Alternatively, try upgrading the sender (be it to a higher version of 6.x or all the way to 7.3.2) - if you still have problems after doing that, you have a better chance of getting help from Support (since the first thing they'll probably suggest is to upgrade anyway)

..for some reason I hesitate to make declarative staments like saying just upgrade your OD and all willl be good

To solve this one has to raise the MaxUserPort value in the registry.
