LSCS 7.3.2 New Installation without iwlscscontent

Hi,

I have just finished the installation of LSCS 7.3.2 in Linux. I have installed in the same box TeamSite and Search before.

I do not know how to start ido on the app server as there is no script like iwlscscontent in /etc/init.d

Any clues about this?

do an ls -lrt /etc/init.d see what is new

On windows they changed it to AutonomyContent or some such name. I do not have a Linux VM at hand

Here are the steps to start/stop idol, search and indexer services, if any of them is missing then there might be a installation issue, try to relauch the installer and see if it shows any of the coponents available to installation again, if yes, you might need to install those.


 /etc/init.d/iw.tsconnector stop
 /etc/init.d/iw.tssearch stop
 /etc/init.d/iw.idol stop
 /etc/init.d/iw.idol start
 /etc/init.d/iw.tssearch start
 /etc/init.d/iw.tsconnector start

The key distinction here, which may have been missed in the docs, is that the TeamSite v7.3.x distribution no longer includes an IDOL instance for LSCSAuth. You need to use TSSearch's IDOL instance instead (therefore requiring you to install TSSearch before LSCSAuth, lest you want to reconfigure it manually). That's why sheikh's suggestion to use /etc/init.d/iw.idol (put there by the Search install) is the one to use.
