Database Manifest file log Not Created

Hi,

We have been having issue in data deployment for last few weeks , on analysis we have observed that the ENG:

Database Manifest file/www/a/logs/Interwoven/OpenDeployNG/rcv.ddcat43747.TemplateDeploy_template27_43747.mdc1brc0303.to.MyLocalHost.log.db.mf : false

the db.mg logs was not created , we were trying to do analysis but nothing substancial was found any idea why the db.mf log files was not created .

The only solution we have to fix this was to restart the open deploy

I don't know the source of the problem, but it would help others help you if you would take the time when making such posts to include pertinent information:

Product version(s)
Server platform(s) / OS('s)
What log file(s) you examined and any [potentially] relevant diagnostic messages found (you did part of this, but we don't know all the files you looked at nor whether there were any other messages found in the log file you did look at)
Since this is for DD - the product / version of the DB being interacted with
How repeatable is the issue (e.g.: Do you find you have to restart OD every N days, or after N deployments, etc.)
You indicated that this started happening in the last few weeks - what else may have changed in the last few weeks (on the OD server, on the DB server, on the network, etc.)?

In short - you need to provide sufficient information for someone, who has zero-access to your environment, to try to provide you with reasonable assistance.

Note : just an info what creates the db.mf log file will be good too and what does this log file indicates

Product version(s) - 7.4
Server platform(s) / OS('s) Solaris 8
What log file(s) you examined and any [potentially] relevant diagnostic messages found (you did part of this, but we don't know all the files you looked at nor whether there were any other messages found in the log file you did look at) - All log seems to be fine no error as such except the below error in the db log files

Since this is for DD - the product / version of the DB being interacted with 6.0

A brief background and details to the issue reported by Abhishek -

We are using DataDeploy. We have been noticing OD queue is increasing. Once the queue reaches 50, deployments stop working (In our case base and receiver are the same server so effectively that makes 25 jobs max in the queue). Upon investigating deployment log files of jobs which were stuck in queue, we noticed a pattern of database manifest file not returning true.

If it does not return true, thread clean up does not happen and the deployment stays in queue even though data deploy is a success -

This is an example extract from a deployment log file whose job is stuck in OD queue -
