How can we create Adhoc Report in Report Center?

Can anyone help or provide suggestion that how can we create adhoc reports in report center ?

what kind of reports would you like? and are you talking about Basic Report Center or advanced?

We are using advanced report center and we are unable to create topics and domains in adhoc reports ,although we followed steps mentioned in the manual.
currently we are using 7.1 version of teamsite.
