Dynamic inclusion of other DCTs in a main DCT

Hi All,

I am using TS 7.2.
My requirement is like this :

I have a main DCT with a drop down item which has values A,B,C.
And I have 3 DCTs named A,B and C.
On select of value A in the dropdown I want to include DCT A as a new tab in the main DCT. SImilar if I select B and C from the dropdown.

Initially we thought of including all DCTs in the main DCT and use formAPI to show hide as per the selected dropdown values.
But I cannot use FormAPI and as I have 50 dropdown values and then in init method I have to write 50 times setvisible(false) when the main DCT loads. Same for edit mode.

Can anybody suggest me a better and feasible approach.

Or you can write a loop using IWItem.getChildren() and do the same in three lines of code regardless of number of entries

Thanks a lot Boris.
But another question would be if we hide/show the tabs, in the created DCR, by default the empty tags would come for all the included DCRs even if I do not enter values. Any approach to handle only the tab which is set visible , only those tags would appear in the saved DCR.
