Unable to take group task

Hi,

I initiated a workflow and set the list of users (included me also) to approve. At approval task (group task), when I click on take it prompts "You don't have permission to work on this task"

Run the workflow in debug mode to look at the job specification output - and verify the entries in the sharedby section of the grouptask. Chances are there's a mistake somewhere and that should help you find it.

I checked that section using CLT ie. "iwgetwfobj.exe jobid/taskid". I was present in the list.

I ran iwtaketask command and able to work on the task.

I wanted to know to cause for this issue.

There are any number of possible causes - but it's kind of difficult to just list them out as a lot depends on information that we simply do not have given that we're not in your environment and cannot see what's happening.

If the problem happens consistently, you should consider seeing if you can open a case with Support and get them to do a LiveMeeting session with you -- but chances are it's something "custom" and they're not going to be too likely to want to help you debug your custom code.
