Save invalid form

If I remember correctly there is once introduced this feature where you could save an 'invalid form', so users could still save a form with mandator fields missing etc.

Where is this feature documented, which manual?

FP Developers Guide, search for invalid, page 41 of my 7.1 manual. It is stored as an EA
