How to make Browser item Readonly

Hi,

I have requirement in which I need to make the browser item read only, please help me out to resolve this.

I have found lot's of thread and go through them as well but didn't find anything appropraite what I found appropriate is Boris had posted some solution but didn't find that solution, may be due to migration of forum, so I am posting it again.

Please help me out on this.
