Apache Proxy server stopped automatically

Hi everyone,

I am recently experiencing an issue on one of our PROD servers - the Apache proxy server (custom web server) stopped automatically. Please share some thoughts/reasons if anyone has experienced the similar issue before.

Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.

the Apache proxy server (custom web server) stopped automatically.

This issue is so notorious, most common reason which could cause this is start/stop of teamsite services since custom web server will have context paths which refers to your virtual mount that becomes unavailable.
you can modify your start/stop teamsite scripts to include action against your custom web server or just remember to recycle when your teamsite get recycled.

Thanks Sheikh for your reply. But we didn't stop TeamSite, only the fact is Apache got stopped by itself. Any thoughts?

You need to look in to your webserver logs to get some tracing, record time intervals if this is happening frequently and at what circumstances this is happening.
I have seen this behaviour especially with apache server which serves as preview server to teamsite content and all you can do is have some monitoring on your webserver instance so as soon it goes down someone can be alerted to bring it back up
