TeamSite 7.3 Archival Module

We are currently worknig in a TS 7.21 environment and investigating options for a archiving solution. We have a homegrown strategy in place, however, we wanted to investigate the potential of 7.3 upgrades archiving solution.

Reading through the user guide and release notes, it seems that 7.3 archival module is based upon the purchasing of the Digital Safe add-on? Can a current 7.3 user please clarify this. I am under the impression that Digital Safe is a seperate purchase from the 7.3 upgrade or is it just a smaller flavor of Digital Safe built in to 7.3?
