TS 7.3.1 Installation stuck

Hi,

I'm trying to install TS 7.3.1 on a Windows 2008 SP2 64bit server in VirtualBox.
It's running up to 41 - 43% and then it got stuck and everything hangs.

From iwinstall log, it stopped at:
2012-03-01 11:14:26,484 DEBUG com.interwoven.wcm.install.framework.Install - No iwhome found. Normal for fresh install

It's been stuck there for more than an hour.

I've installed Java 6. The server is able to connect to db. I'm installing using Administrator user, which I suppose have access rights to any folder.

What am I doing wrong? Any other logs that I can check for other clues?

Just changed my JDK version from jdk1.6u26 to jdk1.6u31 and the installation managed to go thru.

No saying of this particular version in the documents tho.

Did you stop the installer and started it again? I've installed TS 7.3.1 on Windows 2008 64 bit before, don't think it had SP2 on it. It went through fine. Sometimes that stuck could take a very long time or so it seems and then it would continue on its merry way. Wonder if SP2 had anything to do with it being stuck.

Hi,

I can't stop the installer, the Cancel button is disabled. I had to restart the VM. As for SP2, it's in the requirement that we use SP2 for this version.

I just tried with a copy of my VM image with jdk1.6u31, and installer stuck again. Could it be something wrong with my VM?

What are the specs of your vm?

Windows 2008 SP2 Enterprise Edition 64bit. Running on VirtualBox version 4.1.8.
I'm storing the VM in my external hard disk. Suspect there's something wrong with my hard disk that somehow halfway thru the installation it can't get connected.

However on my own machine, I can access my external hard disk drive normally, can create, edit delete any files in it.

Still not sure tho.
