Where does pagetype-config.xml lives ?

I am setting up layouts , to work with Templates & HTML type but I am having hard time locating this file the ones I found in system have stuff commented out of them, as such I can't figure out where the file lives

However when I use Site Editor , I can see all the layouts and templates associations work normally

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I need to know default location where typically this is found and then begin my search for other pieces.

We had some associates who did the work however they did not declare the location where they kept the associations in system which is why now I am tasked to try to sort this out

It requires a UI rebuild after change for preview.

Thank you , that location appears to be also something simillarwhat I had found , however upon inspection of file I found some problems , the whole file is commented out except for the top most nodes

Now I am trying to figure out , if the logic is not being pulled from here where it could be originating from?

I am trying to test the layouts and assocating proper HTML & Template to these entities

creating a page -> choosing html type > layout and then template

The file in this particular instance is completely "commented out"

i.e just layout-config node is left in file rest is commented out however the system still works and somehow is pulling the information regarding relations into site editor page creation wizard.

I suspect those are hard coded or are elsewhere. The commented out code is for you to copy/paste and change for your own layout.

Is it possible that they changed it in the build-target directory directly (why people do this kind of thing is beyond me)? - i.e. one of:

ApplicationContainer/server/default/deploy/iw-cc.war/WEB-INF/conf/livesite_customer/pagetype-config.xml
ApplicationContainer/server/default/deploy/iw-preview.war/WEB-INF/classes/com/interwoven/livesite/pagetype-config.xml
ApplicationContainer/server/default/deploy/iw-preview.war/WEB-INF/conf/livesite_customer/pagetype-config.xml

From the comments in ApplicationContainer/server/default/deploy/iw-cc.war/WEB-INF/classes/com/interwoven/livesite/pagetype-config.xml it looks like build.sh merges the one in livesite_customer_src with it. (likely the one that matters is in iwpreview.war)

Well I tried all these paths you guys provided however see same scenario

a) Either the file has reference ID values that do not match the references ID in layouts

b) The files are commented out

Issue resolved

The file was defined as "fixed-layout" in the template file and that name reference was used in the pagetype-config.xml file

I had origionally thought that if we name a layout xyz , that name would be used to connect the layout with template.

So this item was found in the page config ....

We have 4-5 templates configured in system - and all have this referrer ID , and I was able to find connect the id to the layout

Anyhow thank you folks for help with identifying the file
