cannot create site

Hi,
Each time we try to create a LS site, we got the error
The Interwoven Web Daemon was unable to contact the Interwoven Servlet Engine. The Interwoven Servlet Engine may be down, or running on an unexpected host or port.

In the logs, the only errors I can see are:

We are using TS 672 on solaris. It worked before but seems stopped working... I'm not sure why.
I'm not root on the server and cannot use the proxy in debug mode but everything is working fine except the creation/edition of a site or the edition of nodes in the sitemap.
I'm running out of ideas of what could be the problem...any leads will be appreciated.

It does not look like a proxy error, though have you checked the servletd log ?

Being 6.7.2 there will be little anyone here can help you with. Non of my customers are still on that (which use LiveSite anyway).

Have there been any patches/upgrades to the system? What version of Solaris ?

Your best bet it support (good luck with that) and then upgrade.

I can't find any other error than the 2 lines except in the access log

thing is When I click create a new site it takes a while before the error appear...so it seems it is a timeout from...something that can't reach ... something else.
Since there is no real error I'm not sure from where it gets the timeout.

it is solaris 5.10
there has been no patching recently.

The thing is that we have another environment, production which is exactly the same in terms of code/installation and it works fine.
I try to compare but it it the same on the config level.

and the web deamon is there listening

If you have two Unix servers that are supposed to be virtually identical, yet one of them works and the other doesn't - and you cannot find any other way of trying to narrow down the potential source of the issue ... you can always try this:

) and perform a complete diff between /usr/Interwoven on both servers - but make sure to setup filters first (e.g.: ignore *.log*, and directories named example, sample, and tmp)It will be a tedious and take time (and patience), but you'll be able to see what, if any, real differences there are between the two installations.Of course - if you don't find any significant differences that way - that leaves the OS and/or other software packages installed on the servers - good luck with that ... ;-)
