How to Implement Targeting?

Hi,

We are using TS 7.3 on Linux.

I want to implement targeting, and we want to create our own rules as per business need.

I have created many components and pages using externals and controllers but never implement the targeting.

I read the document more precisely chapter 11, but I am completely lost after reading it as it describes many things like Paragraph, Sentence etc. along with some xml structures but they have not specified any single basic example to implement targeting which describe end to end flow.

Can someone provide me any document or your own real time example where you have implemented targeting in your project.

I just need a basic example which have the steps mentioned in it.
