7.3.2 Installation issues?

We did a recent install of TS 7.3.2 on RHEL 6 on Dev environment, Installation was successful and when we do the same on QA environment, I get JBoss issue.

So when i go to Commonservicesclinet/bin/
to start IR Service. It gives me this error.

Any pointers would be helpful.

Well, looks like it was not too successful. This file did not get munged:

You would be best to try to reinstall the common services.

Foundation Libraries and Application Container got installed and then comes the problem here.

It say RestartJbosswithDelay Task failed and please check installer.log for more details.

Inside the log, It says unable to restartJboss in 600sec and connection refused to hostname:1099.

As of now, CommonServices or common services client is not yet installed to do an uninstall.

When i try to start Jboss , /etc/init.d/iw.jboss start as a root
[php] bash /var/Interwoven/ApplicationContainer/server/default/log/iwjoss.log Permission denied
Application Container Starting

I have done this before. I wish I had some notes on exactly what I had to do to get it running but it was in a support case and I do not have access anymore.

I know I had to change the inventory.xml and mark it completely installed so I could then remove and reinstall.

Were these problems found in a standalone install or an upgrade from previous version? I am about to do an upgrade to 7.3.2 from 7.2.1 and it would be nice to know if I have this (among other nonsense) to look forward to.

I saw those on upgrade on the day of release. Never had trouble with a new install.

I have done this couple of times when upgrade fails and inventory.xml shows status as 'completed' but doesn't function correctly.

As suggested by nipper you need to change the status of this file ../iwinstall/private/config/inventory.xml for CommonServicesClient7.x.x and rerun the installer

When that happened to me: it appears ESS was not properly deployed, I deployed it and JBOSS is now running. I used this command to deploy the ESS war:

Standalone install, Looks like 7.3.2 has lot of prerequisites to take care apart from docs.

Later support has mentioned few other to packages to get installed to proceed further, but nothing is in docs

you mean to say completed.

When i had this problem, i looked into inventory and all modules apart from FL and AppCont were mentioned as Installed.

Now i have to change them to Completed and do uninstall.
