HelloWe want to upgrade OS(RHEL4) to later version (5). without touching or upgrading TS version from (6.7.2).Will there be any problem if we do, or will there be any issues coming up, with this OS upgrade.Pdf's provided by autonomy shows only upgrade from version to version & prerequisites. Any hints would be helpfulThanks
You have to confirm with list of factors in each Support Team.OS Support Team1. When OS upgrade happens, will it get affect existing applications or not?2. If yes how to overcome the issue?3. Is there additional change requires to make it, existing application on working condition after upgrade?
How in the world do you think the OS folks will have any clue whether an OS upgrade will affect TeamSite? TeamSite and all its components are an ornery group of complex applications. Unless you have an OS expert on your WCM team, there's no way they will know this. Pretty much only IW can tell you whether you'll need to do anything on your end to be prepared for that kind of OS upgrade.

I never mentioned as will it affect TS application or not?, I have specified clearly, will it affect existing applications when OS upgrade happens(it can be anything which I already installed in that machine. for ex apache server, notepad ++, browsers,.. blah blah blah) or not?. If that works for you then obviously it will work for TS as well. Before you do OS upgrade, you have to create Impact analysis on each and every factor. I hope it will clear your doubt.
I assume that before the thread was started, he would have asked whether this was an inplace upgrade or a wipe and install upgrade. That being said, because notepad++ works certainly DOES NOT imply that TeamSite will. TeamSite uses a number of system settings (i.e. changing IIS to port 81) as well as loading device drivers (to facilitate Y. It is far from a simple application. Andy
