Issue with TeamSite preview for one particular user !!

Dear All,

I am facing a strange issue in our TeamSite environment ( TS 6.7.1 SP1 / OD 6.2 / Solaris 10 ).

When one of our users is trying TeamSite preview, he is seeing a white blank page.

He is facing this issue only in one branch where he is having admin access.

Specifically, he is the owner for that branch.

All other users are able to preview contents in the same branch.

And this particular user is able to preview in other branches where he is having access.

Request your guidance / suggestions to resolve this tricky issue.

What type of file is he trying to view ? Only 1 user or all users ?

Anything in the Apache logs ? Are you using any proxy settings ?

2 things to try:

Go to http://server:81/iw-mount/default/mainpath/to/branch/WORKAREA/....html and see if that file is visible

Likely will not look good because CSS/JS will may be there.

Also kill iwproxy and run iwproxy in debug mode, and have him test. See what the output looks like

Thanks a lot for the response. The issue is with only single user for a single branch.

When he tried to access the content from the customer webserver URLs he could see the contents without proper layout. And we could not see anything anomalous in apache logs.

Below are our proxy settings. We will try restarting the proxy in the debug mode in the weekend as it is production env. Please let me know if these inputs are providing any clues.

OK so that tells me that Apache is working fine.

Likely there is a proxy issue, but not knowing your system I cannot debug further. You can try turning the proxy rules off, and see if the results are different. That will still mean a prod outage, albeit shorter than debug

BTW, don't you have a dev server ? Does it work correctly if you do ? Is your boss an idiot if you don't ? :-)

:-) Well, the preview works fine for me. This particular user does not have access to dev server at this moment. Let me try to enable his access and nail down the issue further.

I could figure out the below exceptions in the servletd_out.log when that particular user was trying to preview on the branch where he is having issues.

Can anybody guide me on these exceptions ?

Hello All,

The issue is resolved. We cleared the preview manifest files cached by nfs mount on this particular branch. After that the user could use the TeamSite preview on this branch.
