TS741: how to change a default iw-store location?

Hi Everyone,

I have fresh TS 741 installed on linux box. i want to point its iw-store to TS 6.5 iw-store using below steps.

1)stop the TS server

2)create a new store on a desired location (is it possible to do by editing /etc/iw.cfg?)

as when i create new iw-store, it automatically creates under /iw-store location

i want it to be get created under /local/iw-store location.

please suggest the correct steps to change the default location of iw-store if possible?

I reread the Q and you did specify Linux, change /etc/defaultiwstore

Is "iwreset -a" needed after this change?

Won' thelp, you need a full TS restart

service iwserver stop

service iwserver start

after changing default iw-store location , iwserver is not coming up..throws below error in iwtrace.log

TMetaFile::Read. open(/local/iw-store/iw-store/events/ID_,O_RDONLY...) fails, errno 13: Permission denied

i checked the permissions..its iwts is for all from parent dir.

I would go back to the original store and then try to use iwstoreadm to mount the 2nd store.

The store format changed from 6.5 to 7.4 so there may be some issues mounting it directly.

you mean , first i need to create a new store and copy all my TS65 contents into the new store.

deactivate old 741 store.

activate 65 store which newly created by using iwstoreadm ?

and then start TS server?

Mount the 6.5 as a 2nd store. Read the Admin manual.
