Private file submit

Hi All,

Can some one explain how to restrict private file submission using Action/New Job items.

Our workflow are configured in Submit and New Job items,here while submitting private file using submit button,We are getting screen with this message
"Nothing that you have selected can be submitted. Please reselect modified or non-private files that are not locked in another workarea."

but while submitting same private file using New job,it's not giving any alert.

Is it possible to implement same feature in Action/New Job item.

When you do New Job - is the file actually getting attached to the workflow?
Personally, I usually don't configure any workflows for new_job - just submit and occasionally tt_data.

Yes, private Files get attached to the Workflow like any other files. All flavors of "Submit"
(submit Task, CLT, CSSDK) simply ignore them, after all that's what being "private" means in TS.

The difference with "New Job" is that in "menu Submit" Mode WF gets called through special TS Command,
iw.group.submit (not sure what it's mapped to, perhaps "wizard_submit_options.jsp"). Whatever it is, it
performs some preliminary validation, including the check if there is anything there to submit in the first place.

OOTB Submit Workflow itself does no such checking. If needed, it should not be that hard to code
though, either in WFT or WFM Instantiation modules.
