Hi All,
I hope all are doing well.
If our store is corrupted and we are getting the new store in this case only we need to replace the iw-store or somthing needs to be change in Y drive or any configuration.
Thanks.
You really need someone who knows what is going on.
Talk to support or get a consultant to help.
If your store is corrupt, you have to figure out wat data you have lost and how to get as much of it back as possible. That means looking at backups, running iwmigrate and other options.
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
What I was asking is we are getting a new copy of the store.
So I would like to know is:
1. Can we copy the new fresh store under iw-store directly?
2. Do any other configuration needs to be changed ?
3. Do we need to modify something in Y drive?
if you want to dump all the old content just stop TeamSite and clear out the iwstore directory and restart. Nothing changes for the Y drive
If you're going from one server to another server, especially if you're doing this as part of an upgrade - you should copy just the actual content stores (e.g.: "default") - and not the "iwadmin" or "workflow" stores. Some folks advocate copying the iwadmin store in an upgrade scenario, but I warn against doing so as there are aspects of the particular version of the system in it's version of the iwadmin store such that replacing a 7.4x version of the iwadmin store with an older (e.g.: 7.0.x, 6.x, etc.) version of the iwadmin store is likely to cause problems somewhere down the road (if not sooner).
If dealing with a corrupted store - as the thread subject indicates - you generally want to work very closely with HP Support and avoid trying to do too much self-diagnosis and self-designed recovery processes. This is one of those cases where you should be getting full value for the money paid to HP to maintain your support contract.
If you don't care about any of the content in the store (for whatever reason) - then you can do what @nipper suggested and just stop the iwserver process, delete the existing content store (e.g.: "default" - not iw-store itself) and then restart the iwserver process and you will be given a brand new empty content store.
The same process can be used with the "workflow" store - which is a quick-and-easy way to get rid of every single job in the system (a useful thing for DEV boxes occasionally)
I'm not sure if doing the same process with the "iwadmin" store would give you a new, properly initiated version of that store - so I would recommend against trying that until you've checked with HP Support (I think there are scripts you can run to re-initialize that store)
Thanks all of you. I understood. thank you so much.
