Worksite - Importing a new document and performing an immediate checkin

Does anyone have any examples (either vb.net or C#) or suggestions on how to go about saving a document from an addin without resorting to performing a executemso on the file menu option.

We have looked at the SDK - the very few examples provided, the very sparse SDK manuals and have come up against a brick wall.
What we are looking for is:
1. Whilst in Word, the User selects a button that displays a form which performs some tasks then allows them to save this external document into worksite.
2. Expectation that when this save is triggered from their form, they would like to see a file save as dialog box like they would do if they are working on a normal document when they press file->save as - so they can select where to file their new document and fill out any meta data.
3. The document is checked in immediately on the save into worksite and the document is closed without any further intervention from the user.
4. If possible - they would like to change the save type on the file save as dialog like they can do in Word out of the box.

Can anyone help? We seem only able to get half way on these expectations going down the IManFilesavecmd route.
