member addition to group through CLT says no such group

Hi:

I wrote a script to delete all the groups, by passing the group names from a txt file. It indeed deleted all the groups. the script also does creation of new groups from another txt file. It created as well.

Now, When I try to add member to the newly created groups(which was created by the script through CLT) it says no such group.

But when i try to list the groups available , it gives me the group name.

IWRESET didnt help.

Any luck?

Did you try restarting jboss (or doing an iwreset -ui or iwreset -a)?

The only thing I can think of is maybe you're writing the command wrong.. What are you typing in, and what is the exact error message?

all that I do is having a txt file containing the list of group names

ex txt:

group1

group2

group3

group4

group5

i have a shell script which reads this txtfile line by line and executes the command to create new groups

iwhome/bin/iwgroup create $groupname

Until this its fine, groups got created.

when i tried to list-groups it actually listed all the new groups.

But, When I try to add member to the newly created group it gives me the error message no such group

iwhome/bin/iwgroup add-member -u user group1

it says no such group however group is exisiting, When trying to add member in UI interface it added.

May be the user which you are trying to execute the iwgroup CLT might not have permissions to write to iwhome/TeamSite/conf/tsgroups.xml.

Try if you can execute iwgroup using sudo.
