Cloud feasiblity for teamsite 6.7.1

Hello,

We intend to move application production servers to cloud architecture. In that case, how can we set up team site server to deploy pages on cloud?

Is it feasible/possible to take team site 6.7.1 on to cloud and deploy pages?

I dont think teamsite 6.7.1 has this capability.You can move your applications to cloud but not teamsite

You can put TeamSite in the "cloud" if you actually have access to a whole virtual machine that happens to be hosted elsewhere (e.g. Amazon's EC2). In that case, the process is no different than if the server was inside your company's network. It cannot, however, be deployed as a "packaged application" inside some kind of container like you would a Java webapp on Google's App Engine.

For content deployments, OD doesn't care if the target is in a cloud or not.. all OD needs is a target FQDN or IP, and access to get through any firewall.

I mean to say if I am moving my application servers(meaning teamsite listeners) to cloud and letting my teamsite base server as it is now then whether it will be possible for deployments to continue.

Also, how would the listeners on cloud be implemented as we need receivers license ?

.... like I said, OpenDeploy couldn't care less where your servers reside. As long as you have a static FQDN or IP to use as your target, it doesn't matter whether your servers are in the cloud or in the cubicle on the other side of the office.

There are no "listeners" to implement on your livesite servers. It's a matter of installing and licensing OD Receivers the same as you would on a local runtime server.

It's still possible, but you'll either need a static IP or you'll be having fun changing your OD configs every time the IP changes (and **** off your users with deployment failures frequently).

Try calling them and asking? Surely that figures into the most basic of support agreements.
