Query on Teamsite Local File Manager

When we download a file using Interwoven Teamsite, it is downloaded to a particular directory(In our case to C:/IWTemp within which the entire directory structure exists in line with the Teamsite store) on our local machine.
If we use this file from its downloaded location, we have to manually traverse the file system each time we download a file.

Is it possible to customize the the File Manager by addition of a button or a menu item in Teamsite to directly open the downloaded file's directory location?

I don't think there's any way to do that within the Local File Manager itself.
You might be able to build your own customization that either:

I cannot say I've ever done either one of these things, so I don't know how difficult either would be - but I don't think either of them would be "trivial" in terms of the time needed to design / develop / test.
