external task with iwaddtaskfile

Hi All,

in a workflow i'm calling an external task which starts a script that automatically generates html out of all .dcr files attached to the task. This works fine.
After generating the html i want the script to add the generated files to the task which called the external_task. This doesnt work Smiley Sad

.
If i just give out the created call for the iwaddtaskfile command and type it exactly to the comand line, it works.

anyone any idea what this could be?

It might help if you provided the code you used to do this.

I've written externaltasks that generate files from DCRs and attach the generated file to the workflow without any problems. Are you using a TeamSite::WFtask object and the accompanying AddFile() method? Are you supplying the *area-relative* path to the file to be added to the workflow?

i tried $task -> AddFile($generated_files[$i++], "Added by System"); and it worked fine.

If you're on TeamSite 5.5.2 - look a little further and you'll find : AddMultipleFiles(\@paths, $comment); -- it's a bit more efficient than looping through each file and adding them one at a time.
