Displaying Custom menu item with Role based

Hi folks ,

I am currently working on TeamSite 7.2.1. I have a requirement to create Custom Menu Item ( File -> NewItem ).

I added the new link in ui_custom.xml and its displaying in Teamsite but this should be visible only for a specific role ( Master / Admin).

Can anyone provide me the details.

I tried many ways but its not showing in the "Administration - Manage Roles - Edit Role Screen" . Can anyone assist me to resolve this issue

I created a new menu item in ui_custom.xml

<action-list id="iw.ccpro.filesys.menubar">

</action-list>

and the below operation in userops_custom.xml

<custom-operations>
<operation description="Taxonomy" display-name="Taxonomy" id="process.ccpro.taxonomy">

</operation>
</custom-operations>

but still its not showing and the menu item is not restricted to admin user.

<role-based-check> Tag in userops_custom File is somebody fantasy. It does not exist.

Operations Entries from the userops_custom will (after rebuild with make_toolkit) appear
in main CCPro TS GUI under Administration Tab. From there you can manually assign Roles'
rights to custom Operations. Makes sense?

Have you actually read my previous comment - the one you've just replied to?

If you haven't, please do so. If you have - why fictitious "role-based-check"
Tag is still present in your configuration?

Thanks Sapphire it started displaying under
Edit Role - Global tab - Custom user operations - Taxonomy

I just enabled (check-box) this menu item only for Admin role and for other roles its unchecked

Still the menu item is enabled for other roles (author , etc ..).

Can I disabled the custom menu by default.( Any setting is required )
