How to map different branches to different set of OD configs?

I would like my branches to use different version of the OpenDeployWebRoot deployment. Is this possible using the OOTB livesite deployment task and bean configs?

There is a section in the SP Dev guide for adding nodes to the PLC deploy. It talks about adding a Staging node to Dev and Production

You can do that, and then just use the Production node for branch 1 and Stage node for branch two.

That being said there is a bug in 7.1-7.2.1 with multiple targets in PLC. You need to install the patch to support multiple runtime deployments.

If you are good with FormAPI, this can be seamless for the end user.

thanks for the reply. yeah i saw the bit about adding nodes. but doesn't that force all nodes to use the same OpenDeployWebRoot config? I was hoping to use different ones per branch. Im beginning to think i shoudl jsut ignroe the ootb livesite deploys and create my own.

That example yes. But the mod is pretty easy. All you need to do is, in the custom_instantion.cfg. instead of making the value of the radio button, Production (which correspondes to the java bean), make it Server1, (which again, corresponds to the java bean of the same name)
