Installing spar files

[size=2]We recently upgraded to TS 7.3.1 from 6.7.2 SP1 first and then SP2. We wish to install foundation.spar and other spars but while trying doing that we saw the following error.

spar.workarea.create:
[exec] ERROR:02006: Error locating /iwmnt/iwadmin/main/spars

So looks like spars branch along with Installed Workarea was not created during regular TS install. To fix this we are considering following options:

1) Comment all the entries in toolkits.xml under /usr2/Interwoven/TeamSite/local/config/lib/content_center
2) Just keep

[/HTML]
3) Run iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl iw-home/install/install_webapps.ipl –i –f content_center.
4) Reset TeamSite

Will this work? Sorry i had to ask before trying coz we don't want to screw things up since it took quite a while to get almost everything up and running ;-)

I would not recommend doing that unless you don't care about TeamSite working at all.

Thanks Ghoti. Yes we dont want to disturb anything in our working environment. I will open a support case and see what they have to say.

Is the SPAR branch created in iwadmin?

Should look something like this

//TEAMSITE-SERVER/iwadmin/main/spars/WORKAREA/Installed

I believe I had to create the spars branch in order to install the spars

I tried to create spars branch however the UI just froze. When i checked through backend looked like the branch was created but i cannot navigate through UI anymore . Logs show null pointer exception while trying to go under /iwadmin/main. Branches under /default/main look fine.

Check permissions / roles on /iwadmin/main
