Not able to see the files within Workarea

Recently we have added the new domain to the server and configured the domain controller in iw.cfg. and we have added the user id to roles.uid.

The login attempt was successful, but user is not able to see any files within the workarea in Teamsite.

Please find the attached screenshot.

Please suggest on this.

You need to check the groups which have access to the workarea(s). Assuming these are OS groups, did you add this new domain user in the group which has access to the required workarea?

Thanks for the information. We added to the respective groups for the particular workarea.
Please let me know any other root cause for this issue.

As a guess - you have workarea security enabled in iw.cfg and the workarea is either marked as private or shared with a group for whom this user is not recognized as being a member.

If you are using OS groups and have more than one level of nesting, this might account for it.

You can also try restarting jboss - but I'd try to exhaust other possibilities first. It's kind of difficult for us to diagnose the problem with the limited amount of information provided.

You will have to investigate more. Since the user is able to login so you are good from domain controller part. It is an access issue of workarea. Create a test workarea with few files, assign a local OS group as owner and add this domain user. Try doing iwreset and see if it helps.

Have you read the Release Notes?
6.5 is pretty old (2007) - and doesn't officially support W2K8 - so you're pretty much in no-man's land there as far as a supported environment.

I would strongly recommend that you see about upgrading your TeamSite version - but given that you're currently on 6.5 you'll probably need to allocate an absolute minimum of 1 month (probably closer to 6, less if the person doing it is highly skilled in multiple versions of the product and knowledgeable about all the local customizations, more if they're not). Then you get to choose whether you're going to take a small step to something like 6.7x (FlexRoles), 7.3.2 (bleeding edge) or somewhere in between.

In addition to what fish posted about upgrading, you may be running into a group membership issue.
Run iwdebug -g -u at a command prompt.
Open iwtrace.log and go to the end. You'll see a list of groups and users listed that are in the TeamSite memory cache.
Look for the user name in question. After the user name should be a list of all the groups to which the user belongs. If you don't see the groups listed after his user name, then the TS server probably doesn't have permissions to read group membership for the AD domain. There's a KB on the support site that tells you how to set those permissions.

Authentication and authorization are two separate processes, so it's possible to be able to log in, but not have required permissions if TS doesn't know what groups you belong to.
