Define custom page tokens?

Hi,

In the SITEPUBLISHER, How would I defined a custom page token and access that similar to $URL_PREFIX? and where the URL_PREFIX is defined?

I went thru the page and I am confused about how to create it. I got error when I followed that, because I am not able to understand that completely.

Is anybody done that? Can someone plz help just about what needs to be added on the resource configs? It would be great if someone can guide a little bit more. I appreciate any help.
