NewLine characters missing DD

Hi,

We are using DD and when we use is-url attribute in the DD and deploy using tuple processor, all the new line characters are removed from the URL file, i.e. all the code goes in one line.
Example:
[HTML][/HTML]
Is there a way to avoid the stripping of new line characters?

When DD kicks in, it reads the contents of the file provided by the URL and writes the contents of the file to the DB. Now the contents have newline characters. and when data is inserted in DB all BLOB data goes as one line without new line chars that is causing trouble in applications that read that content from the DB.

Does that make sense? Smiley Very Happy

With Is-URL set, DD deploys the "Page" that URL points to, not the URL itself.
That's where he has EOLs missing, looks like.

Okay - I understand better now (I never really used is-url before so never read that piece in the manual).

Question - what kind of file are you pointing to with the URL? Is it a binary object (like an image) or a text object (like a web page)? If the latter, I think you're supposed to use CLOB rather than BLOB - which might account for the disappearance of the newlines....

It is xml content from DCR mostly, but it can be any xml file.
Should we try different LOB type?

OK, you checked the file and they are formatted correctly

Can you load on into a binary editor and see if it contains CR & LF or just CR ?

Is it possible that the way you are reading the DB, it is looking for CR/LF while the content only has CR ?
